Guest Information

Welcome to The Daniel Island Yacht Club!

While on Club property, all guests, their spouses, and children are expected to adhere to the following Club policies. During your visit we hope you will enjoy our facilities and community. This guide will provide general information about our facility, procedures for guests, and services you may need. Please contact the Quartermaster if you have any questions. 

Moorings are available to guests of Club members and to members of recognized yacht clubs.  

Members, designated users, and guests shall use the facilities of the Club at their own risk and shall be responsible for their personal belongings while on the Club's premises.  

  • GENERAL RULES
    • Dress Standards/Clubhouse Attire:

      • Members, their families and guests shall at all times be dressed in attire appropriate to the area or facility of the Club they are using or in which they are located.
      • The term “appropriate attire” shall be defined as clean, presentable clothing in good condition and not reasonably expected to be offensive to other members and guests of the Club.
      • Soiled, ragged, or torn clothing and clothing displaying offensive and profane content are not acceptable attire.
      • In general, subject to times when notice to the contrary is established, dress throughout the Club shall be "Club Casual".
      • Bathing attire is unacceptable for all. When coming in from boating, some adjustment in clothing may be necessary. 
      • Gentlemen are asked to remove hats indoors.
      • Collared shirts are required for men.
      • Jackets are requested but not required in the dining room.
      • Athletic attire is not allowed.

      Clubhouse Rules:

      • Children under the age of 16 are permitted in the Clubhouse only if accompanied by a member.
      • Children under the lawful drinking age of 21 are not permitted in any bar or lounge unless accompanied by an adult and are not allowed to sit at any bars. 
      • On Friday and Saturday children under 12 will not be seated in the bar after 5:00pm. 

      Cell Phones & Electronics:

      •  Cell phone use in the building and on porches for conversation is not permitted. Use of portable electronic devices is not permitted.  
  • WATERFRONT RULES
    • General Rules:

      • Life jackets and boating shoes are recommended for all members and guests and are required when using Club-owned boats. 
      • The speed limit in the waterfront is a NO WAKE ZONE.
      • Permission must be obtained from the Waterfront Director to leave a boat, including dinghy, unattended at the North Dock. 
      • Illegal, reckless, or discourteous operation of a boat within the anchorage may lead to a hearing by the Owner or Club Management and result in a fine and removal of waterfront guest privileges. 
      • Personal floatation devices for each individual must be carried while aboard Club dinghies.
